Hiding away and feeling miserable.

Hello Everyone, I felt I should post today, after missing weigh in again yesterday, partly due to being busy, but mainly due to burying my head in the sand.

I started the week very well, an hours walk, and low/on track calories.

Then, I had once again, toothache that left me bed ridden and eating soft boiled rice etc. So I am a kilo up again. I go down one, up one, down one....

I just feel fed up and down hearted that I seem to be unable to do this!

I just wondered wether anyone had any advice or ideas to get me feeling positive and hopeful again, if anyone's had the same feeling of 'what's the point!' :(

Sorry for being a bit depressing on this Saturday morning!

I've had that, it's not the most pleasant experience, but afterwards the pain just goes. And I'm a wreck going to dentist. Hope it goes ok :)

Had an emergency one on Friday, so pain has gone, I just feel worn out! I think eating poorly made my mood low, hence the post!

Thank you :)

More than likely, there's no escape from toothache. Part two is quicker! Hope you feel more 'with it' again soon x

I hope your toothache goes, the gain could be all manner of stuff, period due or menopause, not eating enough, lack of fluids.

The reality is better choices do pay off, bodies are strange at times, you can do this, you are just having a blip, up your fluid intake, try and sort out the toothache and plan, and distract, most of us have these days / weeks at times

Thank you Diana - yes, I'm trying to rationalise this morning. I do forget to drink lots of water, so thank you for reminding me.

Starting today anew.

I was going to mention the water and it is so easy to forget until it becomes second nature. When I first started, most of my fail days were when I didn't drink much.

Losing weight is tough it's a hard battle.. it's so easy to put on ... pull on your fighting pants and say I'm going to do this ... we all have bad days and feeling low is a part of it .... we have to be determined to get where we want to be .... set a mini goal and go for it 💪🏻

Hi victoria-anne sorry to hear about your tooth ache hope that is sorted real soon x x

I was having the same problem as you - so can relate :)

So here is what I have done -

I visited the BMI calculator and re did my calorie allowance 1463 - 1881 is what it came back with, everyone kept saying I wasn't eating enough calories so this week I tried to eat near the top of the range

Mon - 1529 cals, Tues - 2019 cals (I had an excuse it was my birthday ;) ) wed - 1417 cals to help counteract some of the additional cals from Tue, but still felt full :) Thurs 1746 cals Fri - 1926 cals

So added those up and divided by 5 = 1727 cals

I also cut down on my carbs this week and I have managed to lose weight this week :)

hope my experience helps you - have a look at the daily diaries also to see what others are eating as that has been a great help to me

Wishing you all the best
