Wow! This is great! I only just found these NHS forums recently and immediately joined 3! What a great resource and motivation to keep going. So, my weight, as of this morning is 14 st 8 lb. I have already lost two stone, which I'm thrilled about, only 3 stone to go. As well as clean eating I'm combining with the NHS C25K. Even though I've still got a ways to go, I've not felt so fit and healthy like this for years! All those aches and pains that come from being an overweight and non active 49 year old have gone! I don't feel that horrible fatigue! Amazing! I should have done this years ago! And even with only two stone lost, I can look at myself in the mirror and not feel such revulsion or disgust at myself! This is great! I look forward to sharing this journey with all you lovely fellow travellers! Xx

It's a program designed to get non-runners up off the couch and to train them over 9 weeks to be able to run a 5k. It starts with cycles of one minute runs and 90 second walks, for 20 minutes (plus the 5 minute walking warm up and cool downs). I started out as horribly unfit, unable to do a minute! Now I'm on week 4 and I'm running 5 minute cycles! I'm so thrilled, since I can see my strength building it up! I'm determined to do the 5k. One top though - I found that the food i eat is for the weight loss and the exercise is for energy and general fitness and health. They work together but serve different purposes. Go and check out the NHS C25K and download the podcast. It's excellent, and so is the forum that goes with it!! Xxx
