Hello, I'm 10 days in to the NHS weight loss programme, and using the My Meal Mate online calorie counter/food diary I found on the NHS website. Doing OK so far, I think, with a 2.9kg loss in the first week. After having lifelong problems with my weight, I'm struggling with lots of joint pain now at 63, and feel I need to have another go at losing weight to see if it makes a difference to the joints. I'm living in a remote corner of south-east Europe at the moment, so online resources are really convenient for me, and I'm looking forward to being part of an online community, since I can't pop round the corner to a meeting!

Hi susanbb

Welcome to the weight loss forum. Well done on losing 2.9kgs so far your doing brilliant.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.

We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us today. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.

To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.

Have a good first week.

Thanks, Rose!

Hello susanbb welcome to the forum! I've never been part of a weight loss club, but I love the fact that you can pop on to the forum at any time, it has saved me from several snack attacks! Everyone is very encouraging, it's a great place for support 🌻
