I was pleased with the start of my diet. By the middle of week two, I had lost just over a kilo and - despite an initial wobble in getting my daily calories level right - I was enjoying that feeling of getting slimmer.
Then came two days away to celebrate with a friend who was recovering from a serious illness and a fantastic Greek seafood meze with more courses than I can remember. It would have been a crime not to eat it, wouldn't it....?
Now I am only 0.2 kilos down on day one.
