Joined the group to get help and encouragement to change my lifestyle. I am admittedly overweight but definitely have the motivation and willpower to get myself losing the pounds. I did 3 years ago lose almost 6 stone but have sadly due to family circumstances put 4.5 stones back on. So I know I can do it but just know now that the time has come to sort myself out properly before its too late. Already encouraged reading other posts.

Hi and welcome, Kev :)

Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you.

Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news.

Take a look at the 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.

We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.

We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too.

It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey :)

Thank you for the welcome and I have already downloaded the 12 week plan and intend to begin properly on Monday. Will continue to be an active participant but already have found encouraging posts to get me motivated

Can you tell me how to get the 12 week plan?

Hidden click on the welcome newbies in the pinned posts top right or bottom on mobile, there's a link on there for the 12 week challenge. If you still can't find it I'm sure moreless will be able to help with a better distribution of where to find it xx

Click on "Home" at the top of your screen, on the right of the page, beneath the Pinned posts and Events, you'll see download the 12 week plan.

If you're using a mobile, everything will be at the bottom of your screen :)

But i notice some great news in your post. In the three years you haven't done the usual of regaining the weight. Plus some. So well done! You're a stone and a half better off this time!!

Don't beat yourself up, as you did achieve your target last time. Maybe your focus should be on strategies to avoid weight gain after reaching your target this time round. So nothing will detail your achievement.
