Weight Loss NHS

I am new please help!

I am a 17st, 69 year old lady who needs to loose weight. I am borderline coeliac, cannot eat, wheat, gluten, soy, some fruits and veg as also have IBS so is trial and error with ALL new foods even some old, is this plan suitable for me as i do want to loose weight. Would like any advice or help if possible, PLEASE!

My daughter is typing this for me on her computer as i am hopeless.

The 12 week plan has no foods that are a must and none that are excluded, so it can be tweaked to suit anybody's dietary requirements.

Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news.

Make sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.

We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.

We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too.

I can't offer any advice or say anything about your dietry needs with the probs you have but I can say that there will be lots of support and help here whenever you need it. Best of luck to you.😀

I think you need to see your GP or Join a weight group. Because you may need a lot of support.

Not say you cannot do it, because you can.

I have done the 12 week challenge and lost 3 stone. But I also do a lot of exercise. And at time some week I did not lost weight.

Possible you and your daughter could do it together, support each other.

I think you may need to start exercising , it will be to hard just to diet.

Small changes at a time. I find the weekly food and activity chart a good place to start.

Your daughter can print them of for you.

Next get a note pad and start counting you cals.

If you go on the NHS BMI calculater it will tell you what cals target is.

It will not be easy, you will have good days and bad. but you can do it.

I'm 68 and trying AGAIN to lose weight. I have a friend with IBS and other health problems. She is your age. Trial and error was her way of finding what not to eat and she has now lost 3 stone. Learn to use the computer! I am 14 stone, today is my first day. Let's go for it. We're still young enough to work towards an energetic, healthy life. I've yo-yo'd for years, but I hope to make the most of this web-site and keep it off.
