hi guys,2 weeks ago i started walking every other day been ok untill now where im experiencing pains in my upper leg could it be im overdoing it or is it my legs trying to adjust any advice would be greatly recieved thanks...

Hi Marc,

It may just be muscle ache, from the exercise, but as we're not medically qualified, you'd need to see your GP/practice nurse, if you're at all concerned.

Try resting for a couple of days, to see if the pain subsides.

thank you for your reply moreless the pain isn't there all the time i even have a support bandage for it now i was walking 5 mile a week for 2 weeks but im now walking 2 miles every other day maybe im running before i can walk if it gets worse i will see my GP/nurse again thanks for replying.

Get it checked by your doc.

Learn how to do stretches.

Might be worth looking at the couch to 5k forum. I know you are walking not running but there are links on there to exercises - stretches etc that may help and also posts and advice about muscle pain.
