Playlists for working out

Hello all

Hubby is at his rink bandy (like Ice Hockey) training, youngest daughter is at school as they have an activity day she is downhill skiing for 3 hours and middle daughter is laid up in bed after coming in at 3am and raiding the fridge. I decided to work out :)

So I have just done my final run of the couch25k run of my 2nd week I was feeling energized so I decided to stay on the treadmill for another 45 minutes (crazy I know, total time on treadmill 1h 15mins) but the music was just so inspiring and kept me going forward. I managed to do 6.5km and made my target by 112%, burnt also 587 Kcal in the process so yesterdays beer taken care of :)

I started going through my Ipod and came up with the following play list to keep me going. I know some of the songs are strange but they are what uplift me.

so bear with me :) :)

Warm up

New Age - Marlon Roudette

High - Lighthouse family

Patience - Take That

Fat burning/ feel good

Feel Good Inc - Gorillaz

Uprising - Muse

Im a freak- Enrique Iglesius

Don't stop believing - Journey

The sound - The 1975

Welcome to the black parade - My Chemical Romance

Anyway you want it - Mary J Blige

Alright- Supergrass

Beautiful day - U2

Elevation - U2

I don't feel like dancing - Scissor sisters

Pure - Lightning seeds

Immortals - Fall out boy

Song 2 - Blur

Warming down

Falling slowly - Glen Hansard

Go now - Adam Levine

Lost stars - Adam Levine

Fix You - Coldplay

So there you have it my weird mix of songs that keep me going. I actually look freaking crazy on the treadmill arms waving, body popping. If my neihbours see me they would fall about laughing haha it really is that bad.

So if anyone has some inspirational music to add then let me know so I can give it a blast. Feel free to steal these songs and add them to your playlists.

Have a good one

That's great Janpes, whatever keeps you going :)

I, personally, never plug into music, preferring the sounds of nature, when I'm running, so haven't got anything to add to your list, but I'm sure you'll get an eclectic collection from other members :)

I love Mr Blue sky by ELO and beautiful day by Michael buble. They really perk me up. I like to throw xanadu (olivia newton john) on once in a while too! An odd choice but upbeat and cheerful!

Oh we're making a family play list this week! We each have to choose 15 songs which will make up a 'climbing snowdon' play list - our easter adventure. I haven't started my list yet, but at the top is 'walking on sunshine'.
