**12 week challenge**


I have started my 12 week challenge today. I thought I'd start a thread to keep me focused and motivated.

I will be weighing every Monday so was hoping there were other newbies who wanted to join my thread?

I've started off at a weight of 15 stone 8.5lbs! I'm completely mortified!

Im hoping to eventually get down to 11 stone 7lbs which would make a total weight loss of 4 stone 1.5lb.

I've decided to track my calories 1700 a day on my fitness pal.

So far, so good today! Good luck to anyone else who has stated, we can do it xxx

  • Hi I am starting the plan tomorrow. I am planning on losing about 4 stone aswell, would be great to have someone to go along with.

  • The thought of having to lose 4 stone is daunting, but I know that if I don't do something now, it will only get worse!!

  • Hello Sasparilla☺ it's good to hear you sounding so upbeat and positive☺ Have you checked your bmi on the NHS site? 1700 doesn't sound like very many!! In my experience MFP can be a bit on the low side. It's important to eat enough, see here for why

  • Ps I'm having a few technical issues!! if you're wondering why my first reply was so brief, I keep accidentally posting replies before I've finished answering! ! Very annoying!! Grrrr

  • Thank you for the link, I have had a look and used one of the formulas to work out my calories. I should be having 2000 calories to start with! It recommends sticking to it for a month and then re doing it once some weight has been lost. I'll give it a go and see what happens x thanks x

  • Hi, I am a newbie as well. Looking to lose 2.5 stone. Weigh in on sunday or Monday mornings. Hope we can all provide support to each other. Good luck everyone. I am just filling in my week 1 diary. Calorie counting os a real chore but its worked for me in the past!

  • I have started this so many times and can achieve 1 good week before I go off the rails. I'm hoping this forum will keep me on track this time. My weight is 14 st 5lb so I'm taking it a stone at a time. Tomorrow is d day.

  • Hiya! I started the 12 week programme yesterday too. I've got 8 stone and 10 lbs to lose to get bang in the middle of the healthy weight range for my height, so a long way to go but I feel much more positive going forward. I've done slimming world for about 12 years on and off, but with one thing and another, it just is not working for me anymore and I am the heaviest I have ever been (except when I was pregnant with my twins!). So onwards and downwards and here's to feeling better about everything! X

    Day 2 for me & near the end of my calories for today but I'm HUNGRY! Might have some fruit and an early night!!
