Hi and welcome, Angelic
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you.
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news.
Take a look at the 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.
We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too.
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
Hi, you walk a lot which is great. I think what we eat has a massive impact. Have a look at your 'diet'. Are you eating a lot of processed food or sugary treats? You will need to cut back on calories from somewhere (obviously) but only you will know where your excess calories come from! Good luck and keep posting!
There are hundreds of posts and replies to posts on this forum which suggest that calorie reduction is the best or even the only way to lose weight. Exercise is good for us of course, but it will not make you lose weight. If you have always exercised (for me , I have always walked the dog for half an hour every day, twice a day) then you need to ask yourself why you are still overweight. I've long since come to the conclusion that it's what goes in your mouth which counts, not how much you move. Eat healthily, reduce calorie intake, either by counting them or by reducing portion size, keeping an eye on rice, pasta, bread and all sugary things to keep them to a minimum, and you will quickly see results. Good luck! 😊
Change the way you eat, permanently.
Hi Angelic239,
I think, walking only 25 miles will not help you, you must change your diet plan too, along with it. When my sister was in the same situation, she started using the dose of weight loss nut daily, which is one of the dietary supplements and she has lost her 3 stone in one month. The main function of the weight loss nut is that it helps in burning body, without any kind of exercise, you just have to take the dose of seed at night before going to bed. I am aslo thinking to buy it for me too from Nuez Dela India (nuez-dela-india.com/), which is the source provider of the nut. You can also try this out, maybe it can help you in a better way.
