Sorting out cupboards and writing a shopping list but struggling, I very rarely eat breakfast as I'm dairy intolerant and need to think of interesting packed lunches to have at work. Any ideas greatly appreciated xx

Isn't their anything you can eat for breakfast?

I do have rice milk butI think I've got into the habit of no breakfast which leads me snack, I would rather eat something at 10 than before I leave for work at 7am, So ideally need suggestions of something I can take with me

Hi. How about fruit salad. I have been making this recently. Am buying the fruit at the weekend then prepping and taking a big pot to work and decanting. You could always have a piece of toast at home and then fruit salad at work (or vice versa!). We have a toaster and microwave at work so if I'm not taking a sandwich it would be pasta, soup, jacket potato or pitta/oatcakes with crudités and dips. Or leftovers of whatever we have had for tea (if there are any leftovers!). Good luck.

I have fruit for breakfast, usually melon (water or cantelope) but not exclusively. Bananas are good because they are very filling. :)

Pack lunch wise I would have lots of finger salad foods, tomatoes, cucumber, celery, beetroot, spring onions, carrot sticks. With some lean meat, like chicken breast or lean ham. You could put it in a wholemeal roll if you wanted to. :)

I'm sure there are many more options, like making a pasta salad - depending on what sort of diet you are doing. I'm not a fan of pasta myself, but you see them in the supermarket. Not sure about their calorie count though. :(

Thank you. I'm rubbish at calorie counting so I'm just swapping to healthier options or cutting out completely and see how I go x

My husband doesn't eat breakfast as he leaves the house before 7am. I give him a Fusili bar and a banana in his lunch box so he can have it around 10am. He then has ham and salad wraps or sometimes I do cold meat and salad and a boiled egg for him. I sometimes do him pasta with a sauce with cold left over meat and peas and sweet corn which he could heat up, but he likes it cold. He has almonds and sultanas and an apple.

Whole meal toast with peanut butter is very filling and low GI

Proper porridge is made with water so should be OK for you. Making a single portion in the bowl you eat from is quick and easy in a microwave, and eliminates the otherwise horrible saucepan to wash up. It is very filling. I have been eating this for years and sail through to lunch without feeling hungry. I have a teaspoon of honey and some seeds as well.
