Starting starting again

Really trying to get back into the zone of being healthy after a long time and illness. WW and SW look just too expensive, and Calorie Count has changed :(. So will try here :D. I work perm nights as a nursing assistant, and my health has taken a major hit as a result.

Morning kfingers

Welcome to the weight loss forum.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbies post in the Pinned post section on the right or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

Take your measurements at the start along with a photo so you can see the changes and it is motivating on the days when the scales don't move.

We have daily weigh-ins so why not come and join us. You will find the weigh-ins in the Events section on the Home page on the right. Just click on the post and state your starting weight, any loss/gain or maintain.

To get the best from the forum be active, share experience, tips and ideas. read some of the posts they are very inspiring.

Have a good first week.

kfingers you have come to the right place for support. I have no experience of working nights so can only imagine how difficult it must be.

Be active on the forum and join in with other posts, there is such amazing support and so many inspirational people. I guess the main thing is to cook from fresh ingredients and make sure you take good, healthy food to work with you, you need it to sustain you through the night shift. I hope you manage to get sufficient sleep.

Be positive about your journey, none of us can return to health and the ideal weight instantly - we would probably all love to.

Stick with it and celebrate the small successes because they will lead to bigger ones.

Take care Ceals
