I am not sure I trust the stats on fitbit,it keeps saying I have burned on average over 2000 calories a day, anyone got a fitbit ACD what do you think.

I have a Fitbit charge hr. it tells me I burn 2700 roughly a day based on my weight of 18 1/2 stone, 5ft 8 female. Do you think yours is under or over?

I googled it, average man 2500 a day so I would say if anything Fitbit is under reporting, either that or you don't I've much!

I have been walking roughly 6000 steps per day sometimes more. The calories I burn are always more than what I eat. If I use myfitnesspal the calories are significantly less which i believe is more likely to be true.

Whatever suits you. I don't calorie count. As long as I am losing weight I am fine

Yes i agree,my point is fitbit tells me I have burned let say 2000 calories and eaten 1900 but still put on weight, which shouldn't be possible. Good luck with your weight loss.

You need a 3500 deficit to lose a lb. I guess all the Fitbit or anything else can do is work with averages because they don't know how fast you did your steps or what your body is like. Try cutting calories down or exercising more if you want to lose, regardless of what the tech says.

Thanks I will do.

My Fitbit tells me I burn between 1950-2200 on an average day, more if I've exercised and that's slightly more than mfp after I add my exercise Cals but I go with the mfp calculations just to be on the safe side!

I calorie count with MyFitnessPal but I don't bother putting in any exercise I do anytime as I don't do too much and because it gives you it back to eat. I don't want it back on there to eat because it isn't what I am doing any exercise for. I just want to get rid of fat and weight not gain more.

I agree, I never use up the "gained" calories. I do enter exercise through map my walks though. Just got a Jawbone Up Move - no idea how this will work with anything else as I only got it this afternoon.

I have a Fitbit Surge and also the Fitbit Alta and although I love them they weren't giving me accurate steps - I thought I was smashing 10,000 steps a day but just washing up or stroking the dog was counting my steps. I have now got a Helo wellness band - doesn't tell the time but does tons more than the Fitbit like monitor my breathe rate, realtime heart rate and even does an ECG so I know how far I can push myself without worrying :-)
