I've never done one of these before but I'm thought I have nothing to loss, Hi my name is Rionach I'm 21 and I live in Belfast, I'm going to Ibiza in June, it's gonna be the first time I've been out of the UK and I don't want to be covered up, I'm not that bothered about my legs it's my belly I'm concerned about. I can still sick my stomach in but that won't work in a swimsuit and I'm tired of holding it in, I want to be the girl that's going to be sitting next to me on the beach, flat stomach lovely legs proud of her body not shy in showing it off and just loving her holiday, instead of hiding my stomach under t-shirts and not wanting to even go the beach cos of how I'll look next to those girls, so I'm been trying for a week or some now, when I started I was 12.4 stone and the Wednesday just gone I weighted myself and I was 12.2 stone so I lost 2 pounds in a week with just not eating treats and do little 15 minute at home exercises and I would be more than happy if that's all I could lose, but if th eres anything else I could do to help me lose even 1 more pound a week or more I would be very grateful for any advice. Have a look at the 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate
We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too

Hi Rio - my starting weight was very similar to you 12stone 7 - that was 14 weeks ago . Now I am 10stone 13, and I look and feel quite different. Not sure I'd wear a bikini yet, but a swimming costume no worries. I usually lose 1-2 lbs a week. The main thing is to keep up a nice slow steady loss - change your habits for life and keep the weight off. I did the 12 week plan, now I'm just calorie counting. I'm sure you can do it by June - you've got plenty oftime, iit's not a race x
Started very similar weight to you and I've steadily lost 1-2lbs a week. What I would say tho (to avoid any disappointment maybe ) is measure your stomach. One week I lost nothing but I'd lost two inches of my stomach. So it's not all scales especially if your exercising (I do about 15 mins 3 times a week but my body fat has decreased faster than the scales ) xx
I go to boots and use their machine - gives you body fat mass % which is good I find to look at if my weight isn't budging. I've gone from 40% to 33% yet only lost 4lbs. Think it's because I'm exercising and building muscle but from what I've researched muscle will help me lose weight in the long run, good luck on your journey x
Hi Rionach, First things first. You are a beautiful and amazing person who looks fantastic and will have a total party in Ibiza. OK you want to loose a few pounds so you don't have to hold your tummy in the first few days. What you are doing seems to work so carry on. In my experience when I wanted to lose weight increasing exercise helped.
