its a start...

my boyfriend just made me realize that even tho i have not lost much weight, i have developed some better habits. i no longer get up at 2 or 3am and eat, i sleep through the night and i eat better snacks during the day. he really made me feel good so i think you should always celebrate the little things. i have lost about 2lbs so that is a reason to celebrate (not with food!) to do something special for myself.

Well done. My husband is always telling me how much healthier I am. He doesn't care about my fat or figure but my health is a huge worry for him. It is nice if someone reminds us of our good lifestyle changes.

Go for the treat! You've got the right idea.

That's great to hear! I lose weight very slowly but have taken up going to the gym, I sleep much better and make better food choices and feel so much more positive about the future.

Thanks katy9617 , you've made me realise some of the positives for me that come with healthy living:

Not so full that I can barely breathe when I bend down

Healthy glow to my face

Having a poo every day rather than a couple of times a week

No more headaches (sugar rush)

Sleeping right through - even after 7 trips to the bathroom after all the water I'm drinking, I go straight back to sleep

Not sitting watching Food Network all day

Want to do exercise

Nails have grown and are strong not soft like they used to be

75% less on the food bill

I put 1 lb back on last week, but have shed 10 lbs since beginning of Jan so am already ahead of schedule. Keep positive and we'll get there...xx
