First timer.

Hi there, I am 44yr old Scottish female with 5stone to lose. I have tried the usual diet clubs but find it all very repetitive and restrictive so tend to fall off track after 2-3weeks.

I hope to use Friday as my weigh in day and have bought a lovely thick diary to use as a food diary, I will then transfer the final calorie intake to my weekly chart in the evenings.

My evening tonight will be spent looking through all your posts, familiarising myself with this website and its tools.

I apologise in advance for any questions I may bombard you all with.

Have a lovely day :)

Hi Amanda, you ask as many questions as you like, that's the only way to learn :)

Make sure you read the January Amnesty thread, in the Pinned Posts, as that might help you to get the right mindset :)

Have fun! :)

Hi Hidden

Look forward to seeing you in Fridays weigh-in. Keeping a daily log is a great way to keep track of what you eat and to keep you motivated to stay on track.

Enjoy your evening getting familiar with the forum and any questions you have just shout out, there are plenty of friendly members to help you on your weight loss journey.

Have a good first week.

Sorry to hijack your thread Amanda, but today is my first day too. Is there a calorie counting app to go along with this NHS tool? Or does anyone have a free (or cheap) one they can recommend?

Hello...I am new on here as well and looking to loose around 4 stone. I am getting weighed in at my local swimming pool every fortnight as I don't want to do it weekly as I tend to become addicted to the scales. I am using myfittnesspal app to count my calories, it gives you a prediction of what your weight will be in five weeks if every day was like today (which can be a downside). Anyway I will let you settle in.

Thankyou for the lovely welcome. I have now downloaded fitness app, weighed my self and logged in my new 'food diary' I have a day off today so spending the day organising recipes, menus and a shopping list. Looking forward to my journey, feeling very positive after reading all your posts.

Thankyou again and have a wonderful day. ;)
