Don't know where to start

Hi all my name is Julia I am 64 and find myself needing to lose weight. I stopped smoking 17 months ago and have put on 2 stone. I have never dieted before and need help and inspiration. I work in an office 3 days a week so lots of sitting l have been eating lots of fruit and veg is there a good menu for the goodness I need all ideas welcome thanks

Hello bonny64 Welcome to the Weight Loss Forum ☺ and very well done on the smoking ☺ that must have been tough.

Have a good look around the forum especially the Newbies post (in the Pinned Posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile) and also the links to the NHS 12 week plan weight loss plan. This is an excellent plan with weekly email support. ☺

The forum has weigh in threads on 6 days of the week that you are welcome to join. Unfortunately, Monday and Tuesday are fully subscribed but you are welcome to join any of the others ☺

There are regular challenges and progress 'badges' including a 'Newbie' one for when you first join the forum. If you would like one just ask ☺

Don't forget to take your initial measurements and photographs as it's a great way of seeing just how far you've come, especially when the scales aren't co-operating. ☺

Join a weigh in day, as Anna61 has already said, you don't have to if you don't want to, this is the beauty of this forum you can do any diet or just cut down on portions or if it's just support and advice there's always someone around.
