My weight has gradually crept up over the last 10 years - all the usual offenders- less active, more booze, lazy meal planning! I joined a traditional slimming club previously but found attending meetings which were a bit "confessional" just not my thing. I did loose 7kg, but have gained it all again. Think I need the focus of weekly weigh in, keeping records, setting targets etc so hoping this will suit me better.

Hi welcome , I am also 60 and joined last September began with the 12wk plan and have never looked back. That's not to say I haven't blipped. For the first time after a life time of yo yo dieting this forum has been so encouraging what ever you feel like. One day at a time !

Have a good look around the forum especially the Newbies post (in the Pinned Posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile) and also the links to the NHS 12 week plan weight loss plan. This is an excellent plan with weekly email support. ☺
The forum has weigh in threads on 6 days of the week that you are welcome to join, as well as regular challenges and progress 'badges' including a 'Newbie' one for when you first join the forum. If you would like one just ask ☺
Don't forget to take your initial measurements and photographs as it's a great way of seeing just how far you've come, especially when the scales aren't co-operating.
