Hi I am just starting the NHS weight loss plan so thought I would introduce myself.
I am Mel, been struggling with my weight for years, have a few health issues and on here really for support.
Welcome to the weight loss forum. Please take a look at the "Welcome Newbies" post in the Pinned post section on the right hand side, at the bottom if on a mobile. In the post there are links to the nhs 12 week plan and the BMI checker so you can work out your daily calorie allowance.
Feel free to join in with any of the challenges also in the Pinned post section. They are good for keeping us all motivated and moving.
Join in with on of our weigh-ins which are run from Monday to Saturday. You can chose a day that suits you best.

I get regular weigh ins at my gp surgery now but will also join in the weigh ins as well to help keep me motivated and defo look at the newbies.

Welcome to this very friendly forum, Mel. You have come to the right place for support. I joined in June and reached my goal weight in December - but I am still hanging around here sometimes because I am determined to maintain my weigh and not put it right back on. I am also a part of the Couch to 5K forum for new runners. Also a fabulous place if you want to learn how to run.
Thank you for your welcome, well done on reaching your goal weight. Any tips will be greatly appreciated along the way. I would love to be able to go for a run every morning but unfortunately due to mobility problems I am unable but trying to motivate myself with the treadmill exercise bike and cross trainer as much as I can now.
