Hi,

I am new to the NHS loose weight, started last Wednesday. I have tried Weight Watchers and couldn't face stepping on the scales to be told I hadn't lost or had a gain. I was my heaviest at 16 stone 2 and have hated the way I look for a long time, so this time I'm hoping to make some big differences.

I have 2 young children that try to be helpful and nice about my lumps and bumps, but it doesn't help with the self esteem.

I am 29, started off last Wednesday at 14 stone 5! weighed in today and have dropped down to 14 stone 1. So something is working!

Can I ask, where do we record our weight? do we just do it on our own charts?

I am looking forward to a new year, more confident me. I would love to have hints and tips for the weight to come off and to stay off!

Thanks for taking the time to read

Hi and welcome Kat :)

Well done for already having lost 4lbs, that's brilliant! You're off to a flying start! :)

Go to the Pinned Posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile) and take a look at the Welcome Newbie thread. If you have any questions, look at the Topics below, to see if they'll help you out, or ask on the forum :)

We are currently revamping our weigh-in's, so lookout for an update on that, or join in with the discussions on how best to move forward. It's always a good idea to be active on the forum, as that's where we glean our information, inspiration and motivation.

Download the 12 week plan, if that's something that appeals to you and don't forget to take initial measurements and photos, as it's a great way of seeing just how far you've come, especially when the scales aren't co-operating fully :)

Wishing you all the very best with your weight loss journey :)

Hi kat and welcome to the forum. There are a few changes a foot at the moment re weigh ins. It was Monday but this is going to be confirmed. Just keep an eye on the posts. X

Now, you are young, have two lovely children and are doing the toughest job in the world - being a mum. Don't hate the way you look. Your body has done something amazing and now a few tweaks are needed. Download the NHS 12 week plan, it's good. X

You have done really well with your weight loss so far. You see, you have already shed two that's TWO stone. That is to be celebrated. Xxx
