Weight Loss NHS


Hey guys.

I started my health & Fitness journey Jan 01. 2016. I have an autoimmune disorder ( body is rejecting my liver), that requires Mercaptopurine to keep it under control. Being a chemo drug, it plays havoc with everything else. I was diagnosed in 2010, and its taken this long to get it under control. After a few doses of prednisone my weight ballooned and I struggled to shift it.

Last year I made the choice to work at it, my illness would no longer control me. With a little research online and taking a level 3 fitness course I have managed to drop 2.6 stone. 16kg. I feel great and have more energy than before diagnosis.

My ultimate Aim is to reduce my daily dose of meds, play with my two young boys in the Park, and extend my life.

My aim for joining this forum is to potentially find other like minded people, Working out supporting each other etc on our health and fitness journeys.

Welcome ianthompson77 . Well done for taking control and doing something about your weight despite the difficulties of a health problem. Welcome to the forum and well done for losing so much weight already, especially with everything else you have going on - that's an amazing achievement. You should be mega proud of yourself! ;)

My goodness, ianthompson77 , you have clearly already been on quite a journey, and whatever you have been doing diet-wise, it seems to have worked for you in combination with your fitness training.
