Hi Elena and Welcome !! If you have a look at Hints and Tips, under the title "Topics" which is on the right lower section of this Page there are some ideas. Keep it simple at first so you get into the habit of doing something healthy, like have a healthy breakfast so you're not so hungry until proper lunchtime meal. Concentrate on one thing at a time. People on here are so similar and have lots of ways of making things work for them.

Hello Elenavisinescu23 ☺ Welcome to the forum. I find it is very important to keep positive, I try to focus on the things that I can eat, trying new recipes and keeping busy ☺ Portion control and calorie awareness take time to master so please give yourself time. The longer you stick to plan the easier it becomes ☺

Welcome Elena. You say you have no ambition and can't keep a diet up for long. Maybe try to be explicit about your motivation.

Ask yourself: What do you want to achieve by losing weight? Better health? Less pain? Longer life so that you may be around for your children and grandchildren? Better looks? Feeling more confident? Ability to do something specific that you can't do as long as you are overweight? Look great on your wedding day? Motivation comes in all shapes and sizes. You have to find yours.

Write your answers down and put them somewhere visible, like on your fridge.

Whenever you feel like giving up or stuffing your face with unhealthy things, have a look at your reasons. Now you might not feel like eating that pizza after all...

Weight loss goes on in your brain as much as your body, so be kind to yourself. And use this forum for feedback.

Best of luck!

Hi Elenavisinescu23 - You say that you want to lose weight but you just don't have the power? I wonder if you say that because you are trying too hard? Making one or two small changes every day will have an effect even if it takes a bit longer and once you see that reflected in either a looser belt or small weight reduction you may find that your motivation to do more comes into play. Perhaps changing what you have for breakfast for example, or exchanging unhealthy snacks for healthy ones? Keep up that for a month and I promise you, you will see a positive change.

There are lots of ideas on healthy recipes, ways of exercising for free at home, and supportive people here in the forum - stay in touch and I'm sure you will be successful. But at the end of the day, you do need to have to want to do this - I think PippiRuns 's suggestion of thinking through your motivation to achieve change is a good one - you are the only person who make change happen and the clearer you are about why you want to do it the more likely you are to achieve it.

Good luck, and as I say, stay in touch with the forum - it may make all the difference!

Hi Elena,

Aim for fitness and not just at weight loss. Weight will drop automatically when you be fit and active.

Aim to be active and energetic and moving all the time.. Keep your feet moving all day.

Two things can drastically help you 1. Water 2. Fruits

Keep having water as much as you can .. fill your stomach with water.

Have more fruits.. have a fruit before every meal - before every outing - before every party.

Love your body and respect your body... Eat mindfully... google 'Mindful Eating' and try to follow it. It can create wonders.

Any feedback please feel free to connect through this thread or through a message. It will be a pleasure to help you.

I have maintained my same weight for last 30 years, so all my tips are through personal experience.

bye

Riyaz

Hi, I can sympathise with how you are feeling - when I was at my heaviest I felt quite desperate about the situation.

Rather than think about "having to" lose weight, why not try focusing on "choosing" to change your behaviour around food? Focus on your health, both physical and mental. Eat healthily - cook for yourself, stop snacking, drink water not fizzy drinks, eat 3 healthy meals a day and up your activity levels. Do it for the sake of your health, don;t count calories, and don;t worry too much about what the scales say at first.

If you control your portion size, avoid junk food and keep as active as you can, you will lose weight, even if quite slowly. As you get more confidence in your new routine and in yourself as being able to commit to change, you can then be a bit more strict with yourself and commit to losing weight a bit faster.

Good luck!

Thank you so much . I already start to use treadmill one hour in the morning and 1 hour or 40 mins by 7 night time .I'm burning more than 1000 kcal a day .

Oh Elena, you sound so sad, my heart goes out to you.

You've come to the right place, look at all the advice above.

Sometimes we get so caught up in what we want to improve, we forget that we have so much going for us.

I totally recommend the Happiness habit thread on this forum. have a look at it give it a try. It might help.

Most importantly, just hang I. There. Motivation will come from within, just don't be so hard on yourself.

Good luck, you can achieve your weight loss. Believe it will happen.
