New to this today!

Well for me this is a new approach to losing weight! I've tried weight watchers, Rosemary Conley - the usual diet clubs - but put the weight back on. I've got a few food intolerances so hoping good old calorie counting will be simple but effective. I retired last year and turn 60 in a few months and am fed up with having clothes in my wardrobe that I cant get into! I need to lose 21lbs, so here goes!

  • Welcome to the forum blacklab3. Many of us have used the NHS 12 week plan with great success. If you read the Welcome Newbies post on the pinned posts on the right hand side it gives you a link to that and the NHS BMI calculator. This is really helpful to check out how many calories you can eat and still lose weight.

    From my own experience I can say the 12 week plan is an enjoyable way to lose weight. Like you I'd tried very many different groups but feel more in control with this system.
