Habit, having the food available, and the behaviour of those around us.
Hello,
I think we don't realise quite how easily habit drives our behaviour - once you've set up in your mind that the response to something is a biscuit, then it becomes like a conditioned reflex, and you have to spend some time consciously undoing that.
But it can be done. You can establish new habits if you put in the necessary mind work.
