Newbie - starting today feeling a little scared but committed to learning how to live a healthy lifestyle (plus losing 4 stone in the process) to reach target BMI.

Your posts have really inspired me - thanks. Will kick off with the 12 week plan.

Well done! I'm a newbie too and will join you in the New Year. Wishing you all the best on your weight loss journey. :)

Welcome Hidden

Lovely to hear you will be starting your weightloss journey in the New Yer. May I suggest making just one little change straight away? Making just a small adjustment immediately will set your mind on the intention to make bigger changes and will prepare you for the proper start to your journey in January. It'll be less of a shock to the system and will seem less of a big deal.

Good luck and Merry Christmas :)

Hello and welcome Wappinggirl

You can do it, one day at a time! Have you had a look at the pinned posts? Loads of great information there and challenges to join in for motivation and accountability :)

Have fun on your journey!

Welcome wappinggirl, don't be scared. Losing weight healthily is not complicated. It is in fact quite simple (not easy though). Just stick to the 12 week plan, get your body moving and be active on this forum. You will get there! Just look at the rest of us. Hidden , for example, recently made it to 4 stones healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Prepare to be amazed about what your body can do if it is treated well.

That's exactly it! Simple, but not easy!

Welcome to the forum and use it! I can't tell you how important that is, especially at the beginning; this is a massive support system that really works and people really do know what they are talking about! ;) Good luck!! ♥

Please don't be scared, change is difficult at times, I totally get that, your prize is a healthier you, you will of course have ups and downs, and here a great support system, there isn't really any losing.........................................unless you decide not to take action to lose weight.

The nhs 12 week plan deals with all the stuff, portion sizes , guidelines and dietary advice, lots of other sites too, recipes and stuff here, so much is free online too, another bonus!
