Hello from Eastbourne!

Hi, new here! I have nearly 10 stone to lose.... I am double the weight I was at 18. I am doing the 12 week plan starting Monday and the couch to 5k. I am an overater when I was younger I was the opposite. Now in my 50's with BPD (mental health) I have to get some self control!

Hi Hun...I am from Gosport originally but have been living in Eastbourne for a couple of years now. Don't be a stranger here as you will miss a lot of friendly support if you don't keep dropping by.

I will be posting in the Monday weigh in again tomorrow...and I have another 4st to lose as I have already lost 2st this year :)

Well done on losing 2st.

I am seeing a nutritionist who can probably get me to a better place about how i feel about myself.

Its a catch 22! steroids make me eat, i gain weight, i get depressed

Welcome to the NHS Weight Loss Forum here on HealthUnlocked - this forum is a great place for support, motivation and inspiration to lose weight.

It's great that you've already decided to do the 12 Week Plan AND C25K! Well Done you :)

Take a look at the left of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile device) and find the 'Pinned Posts' section, here you can find the 'Welcome Newbie' post, various challenges that are going on in the forum (take part in whatever ones take your fancy - if any do at all!), there is also a recipe collation there and any important posts from Admin :)

Also to your left is the 'Topics' area, here you can find posts related to each topic, it's good if you are looking for something specific :)

The Monday Group Weigh In takes place weekly and is posted alternately by Zest and moreless (I suggest you follow them, they are also our site admins), a morning session post is put live just before 06:30 and runs until midday, while the afternoon session runs from midday until 18:00 on the Friday of that week - it'll be running as usual this coming Monday, so, if you wish, you can go and post your starting weight there :)

We also now run a badges system on the forum, you can start with the ‘Newbie’ badge and then work you way up to 7lbs and then in 1 stone increments, they are also avaliable in Kgs too. If you would like a badge, just let Lowcal or moreless know :)

All that remains is to wish you a great first week on the forum - be involved because it's where we get our boost each day :P

Welcome to the group and best of luck. I've just finished the 12 weeks and lost 1 & 1/2 stones so it works.

I am originally from the midlands, moved to London 19 years ago and now resident in Eastbourne for the last 7 months....hope forever.

I too am an over eater, being on daily steroids for 18 months or so, I too have put on a lot of weight. Due to having COPD/chronic asthma, walking distances is limited.
