I have been drinking 4 litres of water a day. A mixture of sparkling and tap water. Someone as told me sparkling is bad for you. Is it true?

So if you want a change from plain old water, then although it’s mildly acidic, so far there isn’t strong evidence to suggest that it’s harmful to your bones, your stomach or your teeth. But if you want to play safe and keep it away from your teeth, when you answer the question “still or sparkling”, perhaps you should also ask for a straw.

Hi hats off to you 4 litres is a lot of water. I have to remind myself to drink 1.5 litres lol.

I have both, I filter my tap water have mainly that but I do like sparkling so sometimes have some with lunch. I can't see what's the problem at the end of the day you can say the air we breathe is bad for you. Life has to be worth living so if you enjoy sparkling as long as you clean teeth which is a normal bedtime /morning thing to do I would still have some.

I did find a still water the other day with added calcium but can't remember it's name.

Hope you decide what's the best way for you. Bev

I have a friend who is a dental nurse, who also said its bad for you. But what is essentially bad is having it in your mouth for too long. So drink it through a straw instead :)

I 'm a sparkling water fan too & it keeps me away from low cal fizzy drinks like coke

I drink hot water throughout the day at work and then in the evening instead of a glass of wine I will have a wine glass or two of sparkling water

Then on a Friday or Saturday night I treat myself to a drop of wine in my sparkling water :)

You can suffer from drinking water, any kind of water, if you drink too much. Here is a reputable article on the subject of water intoxication.

LOL I don't drink water to excess I drink it instead of having a coffee at work as I take sugar in my coffee (I have tried no sugar and Nope sorry my sugar is staying)

Therefore my water intake is a coffee mug full at a time, 1 @ 8.30am 1 @ 11am ish 1 @ 1pm and 1 @3pm

Then in the evening I have approx 3 small wine glasses full over the evening between 6.30pm and 10pm
