Third week weigh in

Hopped on the scales with a little trepidation this morning for a couple of reasons, firstly as is always the case for me when I start following a food plan with lots of roughage my digestive system becomes somewhat sluggish as it has to cope with the extra work (I'll save you from any further details), and secondly I have been a bit of a chocolate monster this week although I've kept it within my calorie limits (just!)

Imagine my delight when I read on the dial that I've lost another 3lbs!

This makes 11lbs in total in three weeks - Yay!!!

In the greater scheme of things I have about 9 to 10 stone to lose in total so it's relatively small meat but in reality it does mean I'm in serious danger of losing my increasingly baggy trousers and need to go through my next size down clothes in the wardrobe to avoid any embarrassing moments

Thanks everyone for your encouragement and inspiration

Here's to Week 4!

Brilliant i too have a lot to lose and realise like Tesco says 'Every Little Helps'

As i lose weight unlike many times before where i kept my 'big' clothes as they are getting baggy i am getting rid, out of my life for good, some to the charity shop others i have enjoyed cutting up for dusters when they are not worth giving away and it feels so good my chopping up time. Keep up the good work you will soon see more amazing results for yourself.

Best wishes Bev👍😊⭐️

See, this is where I wish I could sew clothes. I have a skirt I love that my sister made for me. Unfortunately, if I wore it now I'd have my own unfortunate moment! :) But I don't want to get rid of it (as my sister made it). It's too bad I can't alter it to fit. Once I reach my goal of course! :)

If it's a fairly plain A line type skirt then it could be reduced I would see if there is a seamstress near you who could give you a quote to alter it.

It is fairly simple, but more of a 1890s style bell skirt (I think it's called). That's a great idea though, thanks. :)

Just googled bell skirt and I think that should be able to be unpicked and resewn did you mean 1980's as it looks a bit like a ra-ra skirt. I can remember making myself one of those for my holidays.

Hi Bev, definitely 1890s, it was one of those vintage patterns they do. Fairly simple, but floor length and with a but of a train (mostly due to the fact that I don't really want to wear a bustle :) ) but great for dressy occasions.

Woohoo! That's fantastic. I wouldn't say it's "small meat" at all. Every single pound down is a victory and a step on the road to a healthier way of living. I think that's a very large accomplishment in itself! :D
