Hooray for the year 2017 (I know it's only October! - Sorry!)

The year 2017 is proving to be a very exciting one, and here is why:

I am going to be a bridesmaid in April for a very dear friend.

Partner and I are hoping to buy a house towards May/June.

WE HAVE JUST BOOKED A HOLIDAY FOR SEPTEMBER (we didn’t have one this year, and this will be our second sunny-abroad holiday together, and I can’t wait already.)

There may or may not be some romantic proposal in my future next year-possibly the year after (we’re very un-romantic and agreed no talk of engagements or weddings until a house has been bought) so I am very excited about buying a house and all things to follow.

The above are all GREAT reasons to go and lose weight and feel motivated :) :)

I am hoping to be a gorgeous bridesmaid this time – I was a bridesmaid in August this year and while I felt great, the pictures are back, the judgments have been made (only by myself) and I was gross, to put it lightly. The dress hugged fat I didn’t even know I had. So my goal is to avoid this next year! I will assess my weight just before Christmas and decide how much more weight I need to lose by April.

Then judging myself by the photos of me at the wedding – I will decide how much more weight I want to lose by my holiday.

These are good “goal posts” for me – giving me a certain date to work for without overloading myself with “I must lose XX lbs by XX point.”

I am having a brilliant Monday (we’ve only just booked this holiday) and it has put me in a very good, motivated mood. Hooray!

:) :)
