Just signed up as I've just been diagnosed with high cholesterol, high blood pressure and poor liver function so it's about time I pull my finger out. I need to change my lifestyle, loose some weight and get my fitness back.

Well good luck, check out the 12 week nhs plan, seems very popular.

A bit of encouragement for starters, for every 1lb you lose, it takes 5 lbs off your knees, with determination, you are almost certain to lose that in your first week.

Plan, portion and damage limit ( by that I mean avoid as much crap and stuff as you can), will certainly help.

After stocking up yesterday, on such stuff as Passata, coconut milk , herbs and fresh veg ( add in some frozen , and meat/fish frozen too), it just needs converting into yummy healthy meals!

My slowcooker and steamer are going to be very busy, my oven less so, all intentional.

Maybe you'll tell me you've done the same ( not to the same level, I add)

Good luck , take care and accept it won't always be easy

Hi Mark. Of you look at the bottom of the page or to the right there are links for newbies with information on getting started. Most people are following the nhs 12 week plan which is a lifestyle change rather than a diet. Lots of hints and tips and information. There is also a weekly weigh in on here if you are interested and lots of great challenges if you fancy them. You have definitely found the right place for help and support. Good luck.
