I've been trying to lose weight since the start of the year and it was going well until June where one week went on holiday and next week was my birthday and then I was giving myself treats. I don't seem to have the motivation to lose weight since then until Friday when it's a year to go until I'm a bridesmaid.

I would love to have a lovely dress for the wedding and not stand up there with other bridesmaids and the bride who are all a lot skinnier than me.

My ultimate goal is to be a size 10/12 and to have a lovely pair of Levi jeans. My mini goals to be aim to be a dress size smaller. My first mini goal to be a size 18.

Any tips or motivation are always welcome

Hi flamigofrenzy and welcome to this very friendly forum you have definitely come to the right place for motivation and advice 😀

Great that you are aiming for mini goals ... think of some non food rewards that you could give to yourself for extra incentive 🛍

I would recommend you look at the nhs12wk plan as this gives you a fantastic platform to work from.

It's not a diet just clever hints and tips on tweaking your existing food, portion control, moving more and helping you establish a new healthier lifestyle for ever.

I've lost over 2 stone since the beginning of March by following the plan and joining in on here. Get involved in some of the challenges if not just take part in the Monday weigh in. Everyone is super supportive and is full of ideas to help you on your journey to a happier healthier you.

With a bit of determination, willpower and help from us you'll get into your lovely size 10 dress for the wedding 👗 and your skinny levi jeans 👖

Good luck.
