I lasted the hour but at my own pace, it was hard but I have put my name down for saturday, sunday next week lol

Despite feeling completely and utterly spent afterwards (that's what spinning is designed to do), well done upon completing your first spin class, Jojocoops.

Ensure that you rest and re-fuel afterwards (DOMS is only temporary), allowing those aching muscles to recover, so that you're ready to go again next week.

As the working muscles become more accustomed, their increased endurance will allow the activity to be sustained at an increased pace, thus, contributing to a greater level of calorie expenditure both during and after the class.

My legs don't ache surprisingly but they feel heavy and tired, hopefully this too is normal :)

You shouldn't expect anything less following a strenuous cardio session, one which has undoubtedly taken exercising heart rate into its anaerobic zone.

The fact that your legs feel heavy means that you well and truly exerted yourself. However, I'm sure their heaviness provides you with a sense of weary satisfaction.

Even if you do ache for the next 24-48 hours, rest assured that DOMS will become less severe, even if the legs do still feel heavy in the hours afterwards.
