into my 3 week of getting fitter for my 50 ( in 2 years). it has already been ups and downs, the last week i`ve really struggled with the fact that there is no reward showing on the scales, why is that so important !! trying to figger that one out as well.

i`ve lost around 2 kilos so far but I must be fitter due to me going to the gym and excercising 6 days a week for a 1.5hours. So why am I not happy? Am I the only one? I constantly battle with my self to keep going it`s only week 3, does it get better? will I see results soon? heeelpppp !

Hi, first of all, well done on taking the decision to be 'fit at fifty!' and on the weight loss so far. If you are unhappy, maybe the gym isn't for you? You probably need to find something you actually enjoy so that its sustainable, - swimming?, walking? cycling? fitness videos? dancing?

Also, have you taken your measurements as sometimes results of your hard work show there before they do on the pesky scales!

It is so frustrating to get stuck at a weight it has happened to me several times. In the past this is the thing that made me give up because you want to see a reward for your hard work. But this time I just kept telling myself if I calorie counted and exercised it just had to come off - and it did! Keep going you are changing your body your lifestyle resist the temptation to compare yourself to others. Be kind to yourself 😀

It is difficult when the scales don't reward us for our effort 😕, but one thing I have learnt is that if you stick to plan you will lose fat.😊 This may not show on the scales but may show as inches lost, or as improving muscle tone, energy levels or increasing fitness.😊

Stick with it! 2kg in three weeks is an excellent loss! 😊

I think over time you get to know your body more and more and you get a feel for how many calories your really need to have to shift the weight. You are doing well, keep going!
