Hi Christine,

Welcome to the Weight Loss NhS forum. Do have a look at our Welcome Newbie post, which is in the Pinned posts section - right-hand-side of the homepage. Please join in with anything you like the look of, including our Monday group weigh-in, which is going on today and this evening too. The latest thread is in the Events section - so you can hopefully find that easily, and if you'd like to participate - you'd be very welcome!

I know you've got a recent diagnosis, and I wanted to also make you aware that there are other forums on HealthUnlocked, relevant to your diagnosis. For example here is a link to the Diabetes & Wellness forum, which might be helpful to you:

I hope you'll enjoy being part of our community, and I'd like to wish you success with your goals to lose weight.

Lowcal :-)

Hello Christine, Welcome to the forum! You will find everyone very friendly and supportive here. We are all in the same boat, and understand the ups and downs of trying to lose weight and eat more healthily.

I have been here for about a month and have lost my first half a stone, and this forum has really helped me along the way. Don't be shy to ask questions, or you can do a search to find posts relating to whatever interests you.

Are you going to do the nhs weight loss plan?

In any case, good luck and hope to see you around on the forum.

Hello and welcome 😊 Have a read of the newbies post and look into taking part in the challenges 😊 If you get chxnce look up your BMR and find your target daily calories. This is often more than you think and it made a real difference to me to be able to eat a generous amount and not be hungry 😊

Good luck!
