My optifast blog

Hi folks my first post here, I've lost 25kg to date but list nothing for the last year or so ... I gained weight because of illness and medication side effects, I'm healthier now and I've now decided to have another serious attempt at loosing the last 25kg !

Does anyone else have experience of taking optifast ? My GP is giving it to me on prescription as you can't buy it in this country. 3 shakes a day so just over 600 calories plus limited vegis and gallons of water - 12 weeks max and today is Day 3 😇

My top tip is to use a blender with chilled water and a handful of ice cubes it makes it like a Mc D's thick shake 👍 And it fills me up

  • Almost the end of day 4 , I was up early for work and felt a bit blurgh and couldn't face breakfast and I avoided the sweets and cake in the charity basket 😇 Was home at lunchtime and had my shake before rushing out again, I've not felt hungry really but I feel little tired and snappy. Walked around ain't rose looking at things I couldn't buy! Supper was a spiralized veg salad with tomatoes from the green house with red chickorry and my shake will be chocolate and feel like a treat pudding but I'm honestly not hungry.

  • After 5 days I've weighed myself and I have lost 4kg ! I avoided a total melt down last night I had a decorating disaster and I was ready to run to the shop for wine and chocolate but I survived gawd know how.

    Been to the loo for first time since starting with it being mainly shakes and a few veggies its slowed down my insides somewhat it wasn't a problem or anything I just noticed I hadn't been tho I am peeing for Wales ATM drinking so much water.

  • Day 10 I feel good getting plenty of exercise and fresh air I really lost my appetite yesterday and the day before I skipped my breakfast and lunchtime shake but ate an amazing plate of roast vegetables followed by 2 shakes. No shakes yet today I feel a bit blurgh not atall hungry.

    I'd like to add a photo of the amazing vegi's but I can't see how to attach a photo.
