Teenage sons think I've lost the plot!

My teenage sons have just said "Mom you defiantly lost the plot" well I have had a busy day house work cooking ironing. My step counter wasn't looking that great at 6pm although I was taking my daughter out on her bike ride so she cycles I walk and jog to keep up with her. Any way back to losing the plot about 30 mins ago I only had 9000 steps on my counter so I decided to walk round the living room kitchen into the garden around again till I clocked up my 10000 steps lol hence they think I've gone mad!

Onwards and Downwards 😊😊😊😊😊😊

Hi yes I did I just feel great but they did make me laugh now there saying hope you have done your steps mom! Nearly end of week 4 and I feel so much better still long way to go but this time it's for good . No more yoyoing and I started to watch that programme last night obesity/post mortam to graphic for me I had to turn it off but it does certainly get you thinking the person was same weight I started so I've really got to do it this web site though is a massive support I haven't told anyone about it because I know what people will say behind my back Diet Again so I'm just get on with it. People probably won't notice till I lose another stone or 2 but I'm just going to keep on going sorry I've waffled on about me! Hope everything is going ok and good for you also 😊😊😊😊😊

It would appear as though someone is beginning her training towards the Empire State Building Challenge, by attempting to scale numerous flights of stairs.

Nonetheless, climbing stairs is a fantastic way in which to improve muscular strength in the legs, particularly once increased endurance and cardiovascular fitness begins to allow steps to be skipped.

As one who has sworn by use of the StairMaster for the best part of twenty years, to develop and maintain an impressive set of legs, by seeking to scale flights between floors, you can rest assured that you’re on to a winner, Lizzy70, even if you’re your renewed sense of vigour has led your sons to brandish you as a crazy lady. (Yes, I did read your other post).

Although you may have failed to reach your intended target, by choosing to introduce run/walk intervals when out with the daughter, you’ll have burned more calories than by walking alone.

When attempting to lose weight, the intensity of the endeavour is more important than the duration.

Although you may not realise, but by choosing to walk and run, you’ve actually performed interval training.

As fitness improves, you’ll increase the length of time that you’re able to run (improving calorie expenditure), before needing to take a walking break.

However, don’t under-estimate the importance of walking intervals when jogging, since they present an opportunity for recovery (remember what I’d said regarding the importance of rest).

Moreover, resting intervals allow you to finish strongly, so that you can continually experience the feeling of smug satisfaction and contentment (known as the runner’s high) in the hours afterwards, even if the muscles do feel a little weary.
