New in here

Hi all of you! I am new to this. I am verily going to star on my plan to loss weight as I am overweight and always have. But with my pregnancy weight I haven't being able to take it out already 4 years of that. I want to get fit to see if I can get pregnant again, and to feel better, although is hard as my schedule of work is a split shift and it gives me no time to exercise... Does anyone have a similar problem?

  • Hi and welcome Perlita :)

    I'm afraid I'm a lazy person and am retired, but I'm sure there will be others in the same position as you. It's surprising how you can fit exercise into even the busiest of days though. Always take the stairs, walk to work, or park/get off the bus/train earlier. Get up and walk around at every opportunity, do some squats while you're waiting for the kettle to boil, run on the spot in front of the TV. Have fun dreaming up new ways to keep moving :)

    As a newbie, you might like to have a look at the pinned posts section, to the right of your screen (bottom if you're on a mobile) and have a look at our Welcome Newbie thread, as there's lots of information in it.

    Also consider joining any,or all of the challenges, as they're fun and motivating.

    We have a monday group weigh-in which you'd be very welcome to join and today wouldn't be too late, although you will have missed the cut off point for the stats :)

  • Hello moreless... I live in new york where I have to walk everywhere I go :) But that is what makes it more difficult as it takes longer to get to work and less time for me to do my chores. But I would love to try challenges because I really need this weight to go away. Thank you for your welcome and hope to get to know more people exited to start this journey.

    I can't exercise but I just stick to my calories and no more,

    It is only my second week but I lost 4 lb the first week so it can be done just have to be strong ,no cheating ☹️ It may take me a little longer as I am unable to exercise but I am determined to do it.

    Thank you for the welcome, I am trying to eat more but less portion.. although I need to buy a scale si I can star recording my weight, I'm very afraid though. But I am determined to do it too..

    Shifts can play havoc with eating patterns so extra careful planning is essential 😊 Losing weight is more about what you eat than how much you exercise, but you seem to do plenty of walking anyway 😊 Good luck!

    Yes I do a little more walking though my job is just sitting down in a little room and in a building so is hard to excersice, since everybody passes infront of you and looks at you every moment jajajaja. I am thinking of doing my meals to go so that way I dont missed any in small portions..do you think that can be a good idea?
