Bad week !

Hi everyone not had a great week I got myself very low about the pain I've got in my hip/legs/back its now been 9 weeks since it started and it all just got to me this past week I've been told I mustn't walk and being indoors not doing things it's hard after so long My eating all went to pot I was just wallowing in self pity 😒😒

So this is the start of a new week and got to pick myself up I got my MRI results back I've got fluid and inflammation around my hip and had to have more blood tests on Fri to see if there is anything they missed

Yesterday morning a letter came I have a hospital appointment for Aug 11th Now there is light at the end of the tunnel I'm going to stop feeling sorry for myself 😊

I've now lost 7lbs yipppeeee πŸ˜† despite my hiccup during the week so I'm over the moon This week I'm knitting reading watching my favourite tv progs doing my puzzles and I have a kneeler seat that I can sit and do little bits in the garden Next Saturday we have been invited to a surprise 30th birthday party which is an afternoon one in the garden so will be something lovely to look forward to

So no more Mrs Misery its Mrs Positive I ought to spend the next few weeks thoroughly enjoying being waited on too as it will be back to normal once I've got well !! My goal now for my weight is Sept 9th when we are all going to a huge cottage in Dorset 12 of us for our son and his fiances 30th celebrations for 4 days I want to be at least another 7lbs lighter a whole stone then I'm determined to do it

Thanks for listening and wishing you all the best for the week ahead πŸ˜πŸ’•πŸ˜

  • Morning Cat33

I feel for you with regards to chronic pain, it is very draining and extremely challenging trying to keep cheerful !! πŸ˜• I'm in a similar boat. my back and abdominal pain are gynaecological and I have anappointment tomorrow, so not too long to wait 😊 all the blood tests came back clear which was a massive worry as i lost my sister to ovarian cancer. I'm just really peed off that I spent most of 2014-15 waiting for orthopaedic surgery, and have spent the last 12 months recovering from that, Physio, exercise and weight loss to get to a point where I felt fitter and healthier than I have in 20 years, then this!!! Grrrrr 😑😑😑 anyway, what I'm trying to say is I understand, it's frustrating waiting and not knowing, especially when you cannot get out and about and do things you want to do πŸ˜• But I'm very glad to hear you are feeling more positive, and have things to look forward to 😊 I hope they can give you some treatment but losing weight is bound to help too 😊 Thinking of you, best wishes, Anna 😊

  • Thanks Anna I do hope all goes well for you tomorrow being in pain is so debilitating So glad all your blood tests were fine that must have been such an awful time to wait for the results It seems one thing after another doesn't it I was rushed into A&E with suspected heart attack in Feb had a nightmare time waiting for an angiogram then results got over all that in middle of May went on holiday thought new start then bang I get this hip thing 😑

It's lovely to have kind people who understand

Good luck tomorrow and hope you have a happy week Sheila πŸ˜€πŸ’•πŸ˜€

  • Oh my!! You are having s bad run of things too πŸ˜• We are a pair!! Yes, it's been an anxious time but you hear such horror stories and so far GP and hospital staff have all been excellent 😊 Also after a blip when I was in bed for a week, the weight is coming down again, thank fully!!! So that is a real boost. 😊

Have a good week yourself, do you do the Monday weigh in? I don't at the moment as everything is so up and down, πŸ˜• Good luck if you do 😊

  • Yes we are a pair aren't we !! Hospital staff are generally so lovely My son says we should have a loyalty card for our local hospital as we've been there so often - cheeky !!

    Good luck for tomorrow

  • Hi Cat33, Sorry to hear you have had a bad week with the pain your in legs/hip/back, hope you will feel better soon. It can be so frustrating to have to stay in all the time and I just sit, I had to do it for 3 years until the last 6 months. All I can suggest is keep busy with your knitting and puzzles that what helped me. Hope your hospital appointment goes well and they can help more with the pain your in.

Well done with losing 7lbs that's great, keep going your soon hit that stone mark before your holiday. I find that when I'm knitting it stops me picking at food because I'm busy concreting on the pattern I don't realise how much time as passed. What sort of things do you knit? I knit anything from baby clothes, dog coats and even a dinasuar outfit for a tortoise, lol.

Hope you have a lovely week ahead and enjoy your garden.

  • I'm intrigued by a dinosaur outfit for a tortoise??! I would love to see a photo of that!! 😊😊😊

  • I'd love to see a photo of that too I'm not as adventurous as Rose with my knitting !

  • I will try and sort one out for you Anna, if I can work out how to put one on here.

  • Oh gosh I'm so sorry that you had 3 years not being able to do much I really shouldn't moan

I love knitting I make lots of baby things and jumpers for me I also crochet cat blankets for out local RSPCA rescue centre I always get very excited buying wool to start something new

A dinosaur outfit for a tortoise wow lol

I love jigsaw puzzles but also crosswords and codebreaker puzzles

Thanks Rose you have a lovely week too x
