Well that weekend happened .... back to being good this week .... I had a far too much alcohol on Friday night .... and had a pizza to myself on Saturday ... It was a home made one , that fitted in my calorie allowance .... it was the scrummiest scrummiest pizza EVER ! Still not done much exercise .... may need " encouragement " with that .... can any one help ????.... I have a totally sit down job ( except for the stairs .... which I do traverse regularly ) then I drive home , make tea and start work again until about 10... again siting on bottie .... I spoke to docs recently and said I would like to do the couch to 5 k .... but was worried about my ancient arthritic knee and would that do any more damage. I am having an x ray on Friday ( have not had any "treatment" for years)..... so will know then....... IN THE MEANWHILE .... any suggestions for a start up exercise ???

    Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS forum. Weekends can be so challenging sometimes! I see you're asking about some suggestions for a start up exercise, and that you have concerns about your knees. Maybe double check any potential exercises with your GP, but you might want to look at this page, and see if anything looks appropriate for you?

    They are Low Impact exercises.

    Also, have you seen our Welcome Newbie post? It's in the Pinned posts area - top right-hand-side of the homepage, and it's worth a read to find out more about what's going on in the forum, and things that might interest you.

  • Thank you Lowcal, I am going to MAKE time to do a small bike run tonight , it may consist mostly of tier pumping and a few moments cycling , but I think tonight will be such a lovely evening it will be worth it to be outside !!
