Tips for repeating the 12 week plan?

I started the 12 week plan in February 2016 and did all 12 weeks, managing to lose 7 pounds. Towards the end I got too stressed over everything (history of eating disorders) and so decided to take a few weeks off. I'm in a much better place now and would like to start again tomorrow. My goal is to lose between 1 and 1.5 stone in the next 12 weeks. I'm extremely overweight and my nutritionist has advised me to lose 8 stone overall. I know if I push to hard I end up relapsing into eating disorder tendencies so we've agreed that 1 to 1.5 stone in 3 months is a good target to aim for.

Any tips for doing the plan the second time round? Should I follow it week by week or just take the general rules from across the 12 leaflets and calorie counting as a guide.

Planning to weigh in tomorrow!

Sounds like lowcal's 're-boot' challenge is exactly what you need 😊 I'm almost at the end of week 5, and it really helps focus the mind 😊 There should be a link pinned 😊 Good luck

Hi Natz994,

It's great to see you again! Welcome back!!! :-)

Great that you're going to be weighing in again with us tomorrow, and if you'd like to check out the Re-boot Challenge, then have a look in the Events section (below the Pinned posts) and you'll see a link to it.

Wishing you a great week ahead, and hope to catch up with you at the weigh-in tomorrow.

Lowcal :-)

I think it depends on what you need to get out of the plan. If you feel like you've taken the advice on board and don't need the refresher you can just use the record sheets and look up specific points as you think you need them. That's what I did with my second round through the 12 weeks. But I did it right after completing the plan the first time!

If you feel like you need to make changes to your habits and want to do it slowly I would work through the plan again, week by week. I'm doing it this way for my third time through as I want the reminder of all the things I can do to improve my lifestyle. Especially after a three week vacation where I really fell off the wagon! I'm easing myself into it. :)

I think that's the great thing about this plan, it can be what you need it to be. Good luck and I'm sure you'll get there in the end.

Hi I am just redoing the 12 week plan and doing it a week at a time. 1st week has got me back on track and reminding me of the things that have worked before for me to lose weight. 😃
