Hi middlesbroughfc. First to say that I hope you had a lovely holiday. I think on holiday we eat and drink all different foods at all different times and it plays havoc with our systems. I am sure that once you get back into the your normal eating and drinking pattern that a lot of the weight will come off quite quickly. You may need to do a bit of extra damage control for the last bit but if you can up your exercise for a few weeks and keep within your calorie allowance I am sure it will not be too long before you are back on track. I think the tiredness and bloated feeling is just because your body is fighting to digest all the extra food. I know thats how I feel when I come back from holiday. I am off in 4 weeks time so must remember this advice and try to use it myself. Hope you can look back at your holiday photos and remember the good times you had :)

Start planning your next holiday... to sort out the post holiday blues!

No, indeed, you could look at cutting down on bread, chocolate and booze (if applicable) and increase the fruit and veg, and drink plenty of water or fruit tea.

Hopefully it is just temporary blip for you....

I also started the NHS 12 week plan after coming back from an all inclusive holiday & finding that I'd put on about 0.5 stones so I know how you feel.

I started last Monday & already my clothes feel a bit looser .

Just pick a date to start the plan & then you can lose the stone & start to feel better .

Good luck

One of the best thing about this forum is that we're all in the same boat so understand how each other feels.

The first step is coming on here 😊 The second is getting your head in the right place to do something. I'm on week 5 of a post-holiday 're-boot' after almost a year on a weight loss journey so you are not alone in gaining on holiday!!

Check out the newbies post, download the 12 week plan, be kind to yourself but be positive and determined 😊 Good luck
