It's only been 11lb but I can see a difference!

It might be that I'm eating less sugar and fat or that I've super upped my consumption of fruit. But I'm kinda glowy... and a waist is starting to appear! A little lumpy but definitely a waist! I'm so chuffed!

Hi Lovely photo and love your skirt, well done nearly a stone off. I am having a ceremonial cutting up of a pair of trousers I got last year tried them on yesterday and too big yeah!! So off to the duster factory they go. Congrats it's all that ward walking you are doing now!👍😊

Isn't it exciting when your effort starts to show visible results :)

And I read your Fitbit rave yesterday - EXACTLY how I was when I got mine.

Amazing how those little things can motivate us.

I worked in a shop that had zero customers every day and I used to turn up the music and do laps round the shop (60 steps a lap) until I built up my steps for the day.

Would never have done that with Fitbit.

Crazy isn't it how such a small thing can impact our movements so much. I'm away this weekend, and asides from having blissful child free time in also incredibly excited at the prospect of doing 50k steps over the 2 days. Which in sure I well easily do as we will be out all day both days.

The only downside I've found is that as im always tachycardic it always thinks I'm in fat burn mode. Sadly not.

You definitely look glowy. I also like your skirt as others have said, great pic :) 11lbs is a lot - you must have passed the 5% weight loss point now or at least be close - that's pretty significant!

Hey Ruth. Yeah I guess I have actually. I wasnt thinking of my weight loss in terms of percentages. Wwoohooooo! More reason to treat myself on my wiggly weekend in London. I'm feeling perhaps a nice pair of earrings or perhaps even a bag of some sort. To go with the shoes I've been promised. I'm so materially motivated hehehe!

Much love xxxx

Hooray 5% is definitely something to celebrate! :) Earrings are good, I got myself lots of coloured tights along the way too. Enjoy, and don't go mad with the food while you're down here. You can walk a lot of your way round London, and there's loads of healthy veggie places, Food for Thought, Mildreds...

Edit... Just saw Food for Thought closed down :(

im a rampant meat eater... although i have been trying to calm it a bit on the old portions. we plan on doing our fave gourmet burger kitchen on sat night, but asides from that we will be grabbing a superior brekky from the hotel and hopefully avoiding buying lunch by eating well then. lots of walking will be done. ive warned my feet they will be sore. i think because ive done no bad so far i wont go too mental while im away. likely the worst thing will be our celebratory anniversary cocktail. thats the royal we as my hubby doesnt drink at all. its not fun getting half gassed on your own!

Well done! You look fantastic! It's such a great feeling when you start to notice changes (I had the same "holy cow, I have a waist" type moment!), and fabulous when other people start to notice too.

I think it becomes a positive cycle - because you've seen the results of your hard work it spurs you on to continue with the healthy choices. You also tend to get better posture because your confidence increases, which then makes you look even more fabulous!

Good luck and keep up the fantastic work! Oh, and your skirt is all kinds of awesome too :)

Carolines dress room for the skirt ;-)

I had a few folk think I was pregnant before which was the breaking point for me needing to lose weight. I don't think I look preg anymore. Just chunky. Which is better than 9 months gone!

I'm totally worth it on the posture thing. I went into town this morning. I had my pink eyebrows done perfectly. The hair was good. It was sunny. Earphones in with excellent music and I could feel I was walking differently. All through feeling a bit fab :-)
