10 weeks to holiday must loose 20lbs

Is 2 lb a week unrealistic, I'm going on hols with my 6 sisters. All nice but one, she gives me a hard time about everything, watching me like a hawk. So want to look my best. Any tips welcome

Your sister needs to find something else to do other than watch you so I presume her life must be boring seeing as she has to be awful to you. Enjoy your holiday, ignore any bad comments from her but be gracious including her with everyone else, I am sure your other sisters must notice how she is with you. 20lb is not unrealistic for 10 weeks are you going to start the12 week plan? It is really good and easy to follow treat yourself to an outfit or two as you progress and looking better than ever. Good luck wishing you well. 👍

Of course you can do it. I've got 10 weeks to my holiday too and hope to shift another 30-50lbs before then. I'm just going to make sure that I stay within my calorie allowance, do loads of walking and drink plenty of water. If I manage to do that then I know that I will lose weight. It may not be the 30-50lbs but I know that I will have done my best and I will weigh a lot less then than I did when I started 5 weeks ago. Hope you have a lovely holiday when it comes.

It is certainly not unachievable in a healthy way but you will need to stay focused and active - and, ironically, not get hung up on results because it may well not be linear. You might stick like glue to whatever plans you make and not lose or even put on at times... but there can be big drops too.

But do it for you eh and work on the self-esteem? Your sister, unless she is motivated by concern for you (which can manifest in some odd ways), is not going to turn into a kinder person just because you lose 20lbs. And I suspect you will still be vulnerable to any jibes... although weight loss, or something like doing the NHS C25K running programme could really help.

If you have 5 lovely sisters then perhaps they should all be telling her to back off?

One small tip, assuming you are female - get yourself measured for a couple of new bras this week. A well fitting bra that suits your shape (which may not be the prettiest) will immediately make you look and feel better and more comfortable.
