Hi everyone :)

I've previously posted here before but I've tended to lurk in the shadows reading everyone else's stories and success!

I've had a kick up my rather large back side this year! I've achieved some goals I didn't think I could! Retaking my math GCSE (results pending), saving for my first home, and making the decision to change my career and go into teaching! I also lost my amazing Nan to cancer, this was possibly the hardest time of my life!

In the midst of all of this i lost sight of my weight loss goals! I allowed the stress and the busyness to push weight loss out of my mind. But losing my Nan especially has put a lot into perspective for me!

So here I am, standing at 5'10 weighing 14st 7lb, with a determination I've never had before!

I will no longer be a one time poster or a shadow lurker! I would like to use this site to document my journey and be part of this amazing community!

Thanks for having me!

😊

Hi BeanZ90,

I am so glad you've decided to post for the first time in the community, having been a lurker previously. It's great to meet you and read your post. You're clearly at a time in your life when you're facing many changes, and I would like to give my sincere condolences regarding the loss of your Nan. You have made some decisions for change, and I would also like to wish you good luck with your weight loss goals, and also your decision to move into Teaching - exciting times ahead, hopefully! :-)

Wishing you a great week ahead, and hope it all goes really well.

Lowcal :-)

I read every post every morning and it sets me up for the day but I rarely post. Having not had any post to read over the past few days due to technical problems with site I suddenly realised how out on a limb I felt. I missed all the posts and felt so lost. I now want to respond to some posts more often as I want to encourage others as they do me. I feel I'm among friends here.

Good luck with your weight loss this week.
