Hi everyone :)

I've previously posted here before but I've tended to lurk in the shadows reading everyone else's stories and success!

I've had a kick up my rather large back side this year! I've achieved some goals I didn't think I could! Retaking my math GCSE (results pending), saving for my first home, and making the decision to change my career and go into teaching! I also lost my amazing Nan to cancer, this was possibly the hardest time of my life!

In the midst of all of this i lost sight of my weight loss goals! I allowed the stress and the busyness to push weight loss out of my mind. But losing my Nan especially has put a lot into perspective for me!

So here I am, standing at 5'10 weighing 14st 7lb, with a determination I've never had before!

I will no longer be a one time poster or a shadow lurker! I would like to use this site to document my journey and be part of this amazing community!

Thanks for having me!

Hi BeanZ90,

I am so glad you've decided to post for the first time in the community, having been a lurker previously. It's great to meet you and read your post. You're clearly at a time in your life when you're facing many changes, and I would like to give my sincere condolences regarding the loss of your Nan. You have made some decisions for change, and I would also like to wish you good luck with your weight loss goals, and also your decision to move into Teaching - exciting times ahead, hopefully! :-)

Wishing you a great week ahead, and hope it all goes really well.

Lowcal :-)

I'm so sorry to hear about your Nan, that must have been devastating for you, but how marvellous that her passing has spurred you into action, re your weight loss journey. I'm sure she's have been delighted to know that she was the instigator for your quest for health and happiness :)

First things first, why not make yourself accountable by joining the monday group weigh-in, you'd be more than welcome and I'm sure you've seen how friendly and motivating it is :)

Thank you very much for all your replies!

It's wonderful to feel so supported! :)

I would very much like to join the Monday weigh in! It's great to feel so determined!

Again thank you for welcoming me! Xx

I read every post every morning and it sets me up for the day but I rarely post. Having not had any post to read over the past few days due to technical problems with site I suddenly realised how out on a limb I felt. I missed all the posts and felt so lost. I now want to respond to some posts more often as I want to encourage others as they do me. I feel I'm among friends here.

Good luck with your weight loss this week.
