Is it weird?

Bizzare question but is it weird to 'feel' thinner but not actually weigh much less, Infact hardly any less? My clothes feel better and I feel better on the inside like I should be a stone lighter but Infact I'm only a couple of pounds lighter!!! It's so strange and a bit worrying for my weigh in tomorrow as I know there won't be a huge loss but if anything this 'feeling' is keeping me going 😊

I'd say that's normal and healthy.

You may have turned some fat into muscle mass. Muscle is denser than fat and while heavy weight wise it takes up less space, so your clothes would fit better even though you aren't much lighter.

The feeling on the inside might just be your body liking that you treat it to some good, wholesome food. πŸ˜‰

Keep up the good work. 😊

Thank you, I think i could cope with 'feeling' thinner and lighter but not actually rather than just fat and 'slobby' like I used to, I think I need to get in that head space and it should all fall into place, I think if I shift my concentration into getting fitter and see the benefits in my clothes and general self, the weight won't be such an issue and won't seem as hard to lose it - it's seems that it's taking up every waking thought at the minute and it seems to make me fail? I need to shift the emphasis 😊

Some people seem to find it beneficial to set different goals through different measurements. Whether that be weight, body fat or waiste/hip/chest/neck/wrist etc.

Find something that works for you. Figure out what's important to you and then maybe you'll find a goal that'll motivate you a bit more.

For me weight has always worked as measurement, but this isn't the case for everyone. 😊

I'm no psychologist but I think it is positive thinking You know you are taking control and as such you know that the 'thin me' is where you are heading. Keep with the diet and it will all come good for you xx

Yeah, I understand. I started to feel thinner but didn't see any changes in my body. That took a little bit longer. It's great to feel better and the rest will soon follow

Keep up the great work

Hi Lakes25,

Definitely embrace and enjoy that feeling, it sounds really great, and I am sure it reflects many things - I can see you've had some different perspectives on what it could be, but essentially changing for the better isn't all about the scales. It's about how we feel in ourselves, the fit of our clothes, our bodies can tone up, bit more muscle, bit less fat, so many things.

Keep the feeling and run with it, as I'm sure it will help you going forward and the weight loss on the scales will eventually catch up too. Body measurements can be another measure that can be helpful too.

Hope you have a great weekend and a good week ahead.
