29 pound loss, all inspired by Saturday Kitchen!

Hi all,

After months of procrastination I have finally taken the plunge and started my own weight loss journey. I have only recently joined this forum and am finding it very helpful and motivational - I wish I'd found it earlier!

So what started by journey - it was watching Saturday Kitchen a few weeks ago where they were preparing a kidney. It came wrapped in a thick layer of white solid fat and I just thought thats probably what my insides are like!

That was it. I started 2 months ago at 17st1 and am now 15st. This has been through changing to a mediteranean style diet, drinking more water (at least 2L per day), exercise (exercise bike & NHS Strengh & Flex) with rest days in between (v important) and mindfullness.

I keep looking at at NHS Couch 2 5K too but can't quite get there yet.

This is a great forum and I will be visiting more often now.

Hi Stu,

Fantastic achievements, and such an inspiring and motivational post. Congratulations!!!

Good luck with the NHS Couch to 5k - that sounds like really good fun too, and I'm sure you'll do well with it, once you feel like starting... :-)

Great that you'll be visiting the forum more often now, and have a great week ahead.

You did it!

Lowcal :-)
