I allow a few more treats at weekends and special occasions, as long as overall I am eating fewer calories 😊 but I am not in a hurry so don't mind a slow weight loss.

It depends on what you would normally do over a weekend?

if you go out for a curry and long sessions at the pub then you have to re-assess things if you want to lose weight.

Five days of being good can easily be wiped out over the weekend if you are not careful.

As long as you don't go mad you can factor in some treats, like Anna has suggested. I have wine at the weekends but otherwise stick to the same type of meals as during the week.

If you know what you will be up to over the weekend then you can plan to avoid any potential situations that could lead you down a pathway to calorie calamity!!

good luck :-) John

During the week it's not so bad I work full time and can't eat at my desk, evenings I've been trying to work out so I won't snack but the weekends I dreading thankful I'm helping a friend out with her horses so that should take my mind off food lol wondered if anyone had any tips on how they keep there selves going with out reaching for that chocolate bar 😀

Weekends are my downfall.  Determined not to this week!  Weigh in today and I've lost at least 2 (maybe 3 pounds) but by monday it will be less. TBH, if that is my life, well, that is my life.  I have managed to lose regularly but with upward blips at weekends but an overall downward trend. Until the last 6 weeks or so.  Really hoping this is a change now.   Intent is to plan carefully for this weekend.  Fingers crossed x (Going to friends for dinner Saturday night so we'll see)

Weekends are bad bad bad!!! I always weigh more on Mondays than Fridays! I try to keep busy! But someone will turn up with a bottle of wine or ask us out for a meal!

But I suppose you've got to "have a life too!" Good luck ;)

Weekends are diffucult for me as well, the only way I can stop myself reaching for the chocolate bar is not to have them in the house at all and refusing to go out for just one item. I think as kantara71  says it's reassessing things. Do you really want to change your weight? Then you need to change your habits. Still have treats but include them in your calorie count or other plan depending on what you're doing. Have healthy alternatives available too. Good luck!

The best thing for me at weekends is to plan what food I am eating for the day and put it into myfitnesspal.  Then I know exactly how many calories I have to play with. Once I reach my limit of calories it's 'game over' for eating and drinking that day... No more.

Hi, weekends are bad! You are really tempted to eat unhealthy but this is my 2nd weekend & I'm feeling positive. Try to have a rough idea of what your going to eat. However, you are allowed a treat as long as it doesnt damage all your hard work from the week. Im having one small treat on the weekend but dont think i will need it this week. Its my birthday party & hopefully i dont ruin my hard work. That's my new outlook on life: keep positive. Good luck :-)
