A Shaky Start

Just starting out and a little over 4 stone to lose.

Trying to absorb all the information and work out what to eat. Porridge with blueberries and 1 tsp brown sugar for breakfast. Mixed salad with light salad cream, ham, 2 oz orzo and a yoghurt and apple for lunch.  Salmon,  2 oz pasta, samphire and a homemade cheese sauce for tea. Not a fan of calorie counting so is this essential or can I just focus on the meals themselves. Any advice on alterations?
