Still trying

I have lost just 2.5lbs to date and have made it hard work,I have lots going on at present as new grandson is due to be born any day now.I changed some of my habits,as mentioned in my last post and another writer recommended oat biscuits which I purchased rather than tasty chocolate ones,as when I have one of these I want the pack, sugar addict I am.Thank you all for this support

  • That's a really good result so give yourself a pat on the back!  Small steps all add up, and changing one thing can make a big difference, or so I have found.  I gave up crisps last November and haven't really missed them, replacing them with unsalted nuts (not too many!) which are  better for me I think.  Also only eating chocolate, small amount, after dinner in the evening as otherwise I just gobble it up wholesale. Having a banana instead, or some blueberries in the daytime gives my sweet tooth a treat.   Good luck with your goals!

  • Thank you for support and great you gave up the crisps

  • Ahhh a new grandchild, how lovely. Good luck & best wishes.

  • Hopefully tomorrow,all waiting,very exciting . Thank you

  • Hi Scrit1,

Well done for losing 2.5 pounds, that's really good.  It can be really hard to lose weight when you have lots going on, but it's wonderful to hear you're about to have a new grandson.  I hope everything goes well with his birth, and I am glad you're enjoying the oat biscuits you mentioned.

    Have a great week.

    Lowcal :-)

  • I am ,I find them quite tasty ,saves me having the chocolates, must be extra careful at this time of celebration, will let you all know when our Grandson is born ,thank you
