I'm not sure if you're like me? I always start a new diet with vigor and enthusiasm, so my 1st week went well. Then I, unfortunately, hurt my back and was thinking my 2nd week would be let down. On the days where I felt low, I did give in to 'extras' and went over my calorie intake. Not a massive amount, but looking back through my listings enough to make me have that tang of guilt. That's when I turn to this web site ... reading your posts, covering everyday ups and downs, puts me back on track. How can I get off track so early? It's daft, I'm just being lazy. I shouldn't let myself down. So I pulled my socks up and (hopefully) I will get back to a healthier me. Blimey, it's only week 2 ...
Week 2 saw me lose 2lbs. Good news. I was chuffed I hadn't put on, but I also knew I could have done better.
Week 3 is a new week, and I'm back at work - which means a better routine. It also means I pride myself in being good in front of my 'girls' (sad but true). The past two weeks I'd been working alone. I work at a college, and my colleagues are term time only. This meant I got bored and picked at stuff, hence going over my calorie count ... but, putting that behind me ... on to week 3

Sometimes it takes our brains a while to adjust to stuff.........and physically put stuff in action!
You lost a fab 2lbs which is great, you'll get to the point ( yes it takes a while) where you will naturally pick smaller portions whilst eating out, ( I think I'd better start viewing the starter menu more, as main courses), and at time and hopefully give up the nibbles.
hi sue, i lost the same (2lb) amount - i too felt a bit deflated; but its important to remember thats still a loss! We all have our ups and downs anyway, and im sure you and the other brilliant people here are supporting you, like me, 100% of the way. I believe in you.
If it helps I lost the plot on Saturday and went way over so just crossed a line though it and the next day is a fresh day. Done my run today and feeling less guilty now. I'm on week 2 😊. We are here and we are doing. Keep going. xx
